But What Should I Use?

Okay so you want to get into sketching but you don't know what to use? Well never fear, I am here! These are a collection of supplies, both cheaper end and more expensive that you can use in your sketchbooks. They're ones that I personally use and can verify work very well and a lot of them are alternatives to more higher end art supplies.

SKETCHBOOKS

The first thing that I want to say about sketchbooks is that they can be as rough, messy and chaotic as you want.

This means that you can of course choose a sketchbook that's super cheap, with very thin paper and make it work! Those can be some of the most fun and rewarding ones because you're not as concerned with messing up the nice paper or that your art isn't "worthy" enough of being in it.

However... In the case you want to practice a lot of heavier mediums like ink, marker, watercolor, and even more pigmented colored pencil blending... I suggest a MIXED MEDIA SKETCHBOOK.

Here's some of the ones I personally recommend...

MEDIUMS

Let's face it, a variety of Mediums are just... Expensive! And it's hard to find affordable stuff that's still high quality.

Here's some links to sites I personally use to get great art supplies at a great price!

Ohuhu Arrtx Arteza Jerry's Artarama Blick Paul Reubens

Most of these are also available on Amazon for deals and fast shipping as well!
